Eclipses 1948
Eclipses are the year's most powerful lunations — turbo-charged New and Full Moons that accelerate beginnings and endings. 1948 brings 4 eclipses: 2 solar and 2 lunar.
A partial lunar eclipse is a supercharged Full Moon Scorpio — a culmination and release point where something comes to a head and is let go.
A partial solar eclipse is a supercharged New Moon Taurus — a powerful reset that plants seeds and opens a new chapter in the Taurus areas of life.
A penumbral lunar eclipse is a supercharged Full Moon Aries — a culmination and release point where something comes to a head and is let go.
A total solar eclipse is a supercharged New Moon Scorpio — a powerful reset that plants seeds and opens a new chapter in the Scorpio areas of life.
What is an eclipse, astrologically?
A solar eclipse is a New Moon so exact that the Moon blocks the Sun — a charged fresh start whose effects unfold over the following six months. A lunar eclipse is a Full Moon where Earth's shadow falls on the Moon — a climax and release, often surfacing what's been hidden. Eclipses arrive in pairs about every six months, on the sign axis where the Moon's nodes sit, and tend to bring fated, fast-moving change in those areas of life.
